Man arrested after car "driven by murder suspect" found in Bristol

A man who was wanted in connection with the death of his mother in Devon has been arrested in the Gloucester area.

The 30-year-old man was arrested at 12.15am and was taken back to Devon and Cornwall where he remains in custody.

The arrest comes after a car, believed to be driven by a murder suspect police were hunting for, was found in Bristol earlier this week.

Devon and Cornwall police were urgently trying to locate 30-year-old Andrew Cane following the discovery of a 63-year-old woman's body at a property in Exmouth.

A Blue Honda Civic motor vehicle registered number X178 XFJ he was believed to be in possession of was found abandoned in Bristol.

The car was found on Hotwell Road.
