TEAM NEWS: Blackburn Rovers v Bristol City

Bristol City boss Derek McInnes made four changes to his starting line-up for today's FA Cup third round showdown with Championship rivals Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park.

Already without Neil Danns (returned to Leicester), Stephen McManus (not allowed to play by Middlesbrough) and Albert Adomah (on African Nations Cup duty for Ghana), McInnes also lost Sam Baldock, Marvin Elliott, Joe Bryan and Richard Foster to injury.

Forced to name a makeshift side, he recalled central defenders Louis Carey and James Wilson, midfielder Stephen Pearson and fit-again striker Ryan Taylor and deployed them in a 3-5-2 formation.

Matthew Bates was dropped to a bench that featured youngsters Joe Edwards, Bobby Reid and youth team striker Wes Burns.

Blackburn caretaker boss Gary Bowyer made just bone change from the side that beat Nottingham Forest in midweek, recalling Diogo Rosado to replace new signing Josh King.

Blackburn (4-3-3): Kean; Henley, Hanley, Dann, Olsson; Lowe, Murphy, Rochina; Rosido, Rhodes, Kazim-Richards. Subs: Sandomierski (gk), Goodwillie, Gomes, Pedersen, Vukcevic, King, Fernandez-Molina.

City (3-5-2): Heaton; J Wilson, Carey, Fontaine; M Wilson, Skuse, Pearson, Anderson, Cunningham, Stead, Taylor. Subs: Bates, Edwards, Woolford, Davies, Burns, Reid, Gerken (gk).

Referee: Nigel Miller (County Durham)
